16 Mar A Special Father & Daughter Moment in Dundalk
It was a proud and special moment for Navan RFC as Tony White and his daughter Aoife White both travelled to Dundalk yesterday to referee separate matches, on pitches right beside each other.
Aoife, a player from our Under 18.5 Girls team, only received her Leinster Rugby Referee jersey a few months ago after joining the refereeing panel. To see her already officiating matches alongside her father made for a truly memorable occasion.
Moments like this highlight the incredible family spirit within rugby and the pathways available within the game, not just for players, but also for referees and volunteers.
It was a very special and rare moment for both father and daughter, and one that will no doubt remain a cherished memory for them and the club.
