The international celebrations show no sign of stopping at Balreask Old! Everyone at Navan RFC is bursting with pride as Abby Kerin and Maggie Kerin were officially presented with their green Ireland Touch Rugby jerseys.
The dynamic duo will wear the green jersey for the Ireland Under-18 Girls team at the upcoming European Youth Touch Rugby Championships, taking place this week from Thursday, 13th August to Sunday, 16th August 2026 in Warwick, UK.
Following closely on the heels of clubmate Allie Flynn’s recent Bronze Medal triumph with the Ireland Women’s Open team in France, Abby and Maggie’s selection highlights the phenomenal talent emerging from Navan RFC onto the international touch rugby circuit.
Both have worked tirelessly in pre-season and specialized national training panels to lock down their places in the squad. Their speed, sharp decision-making, and handling skills will be crucial as Ireland battles Europe’s top youth sides over four high-octane days of competition in Warwick.
Receiving a national jersey is a moment every young athlete dreams of, and to share that milestone as sisters makes it all the more special for Abby, Maggie, and their family.
