17 Jan Aoife White Presented with ARLB Jersey at Navan RFC
Navan RFC’s own Aoife White marked a significant milestone in her rugby journey on Saturday morning when she was officially presented with her Leinster Rugby referee jersey at the clubhouse.
Aoife began her refereeing pathway last autumn as part of a cohort of 40 new referee trainees from across Leinster. The group undertook a structured referee education programme, completing the core modules “Welcome to Refereeing”, “Ready to Referee” and “Safety and Control”. Elements of this training were delivered by IRFU Referee Development Manager for Leinster and Navan RFC Honorary Life Member; Seán Gallagher, further strengthening the club’s connection to referee development at provincial level.
The presentation was made by North-East ARLB representative David Jenkins, alongside members of the Navan RFC Executive Committee, who were on hand to congratulate Aoife on her achievement. Having only recently turned 18, Aoife’s progress into official Leinster refereeing ranks represents an impressive step forward and the beginning of an exciting new chapter in her involvement in the game.
