31 Mar Claffey Appointed to Irish U18 Coaching Team
Navan RFC has extended its congratulations to senior women’s player and coach Michelle Claffey following her appointment as Assistant Coach to the Ireland Under-18 Women’s squad.
Claffey will be part of the Irish management team for the upcoming Six Nations Under-18 Women’s Festival, which is set to take place at Wellington College, England.
The appointment represents a significant milestone and is recognition of Claffey’s extensive coaching experience. She has previously held roles with the Wolfhounds in the Celtic Challenge, as well as with the Leinster Women’s squad during the Vodafone Women’s Interprovincial Series.
A key figure both on and off the pitch at Navan RFC, Claffey continues to play an important role within the club’s senior women’s setup, combining her playing duties with coaching responsibilities.
Her selection to the Ireland Under-18 Women’s coaching team is seen as a richly deserved honour and a proud moment for both Claffey and the club.
Navan RFC has wished Michelle and the Irish squad the very best of luck for the tournament and looks forward to welcoming her back as the club’s cup campaign continues.
