31 Mar Connor Celebrates Celtic Challenge Success with Wolfhounds
Navan RFC has extended its congratulations to Women’s 1st XV player Alex Connor, who was part of the Wolfhounds squad that claimed the Celtic Challenge title in Edinburgh on Saturday.
The Wolfhounds produced a strong performance to defeat the Clovers 50–29, securing the trophy in impressive fashion and completing a successful campaign.
Connor’s involvement in the squad marks another significant milestone in what has been an outstanding season. She has established herself as a key figure in Navan’s Women’s 1st XV, delivering consistently strong performances in Leinster Women’s Division 1, form which earned her a debut with the Wolfhounds in last month’s Celtic Challenge.
The Navan player now turns her attention to the international stage, having recently been selected alongside club teammate Rosie Searle in the Ireland Women’s Under-21 squad, sponsored by PwC, for the inaugural U21 Women’s Six Nations Series, which gets underway next month.
Connor’s continued progress is a source of great pride for Navan RFC and further highlights the strength of the club’s player development pathway.
