The dawn of a highly anticipated new rugby era at Balreask Old is officially here! Following a busy summer of administrative planning, facility upgrades, and elite coaching appointments, Navan RFC is delighted to announce that pre-season training for our Adult Men’s squads is well underway.
Whether you have played at a high level, are returning to the sport after a break, or want to take up rugby for the absolute first time! There is a place for you in the “Navy & Sky Blue”.
Experience or No Experience? All Welcome!
Never played rugby before? Took a few seasons out and think you’re rusty? It doesn’t matter.
Navan RFC is built on the core values of inclusivity, development, and community spirit. Our elite, IRFU-certified coaching structures are fully equipped to teach absolute beginners the fundamentals of the game safely, while simultaneously challenging experienced players to maximize their athletic potential.
Five Distinct Men’s Squads: A Level for Everyone
Navan RFC is proud to remain one of the premier rugby hubs in County Meath and the wider Leinster North-East Area. For the 2026/27 season, we are fielding five distinct adult men’s teams, ensuring that every player from elite performers to casual weekend warriors has a squad tailored to their experience and commitment levels:
- Men’s Senior 1st XV: Competing at the highest amateur level in the national Energia All-Ireland League (AIL) Division 2B North Conference.
- Men’s J1 (2nd) XV: Providing high-intensity provincial competitive rugby and a direct pathway into the Senior AIL squad.
- Men’s J3 (3rd) XV: Perfect for players looking for strong, competitive junior rugby paired with a fantastic social culture.
- Men’s 4th XV (Under 23s) — NEW FOR 2026/27! An exciting new addition this season, providing a dedicated bridge between youth rugby and the adult game for younger players across County Meath and the North-East. Whether you are a recent youth graduate, a student returning home, or pulling the boots back on, you are warmly welcomed.
- Men’s Under 20s XV: Competing in the premier Leinster JP Fanagan (U20) League, offering a vital first experience of adult men’s rugby for players emerging from youth rugby systems.

- Full access to our brand-new, state-of-the-art club gymnasium.
- Professionally supervised Strength & Conditioning led by Ultimate Conditioning S&C Gym, with tailored athletic blueprints.
- Full on-site medical and physiotherapy support systems to keep you match-ready.

- When: Every Tuesday & Thursday evening
- Time: 7:30 PM sharp
- Where: Navan RFC, Balreask Old, Dublin Road, Navan, Co. Meath.
