23 Mar Minis Blitz Brings Colour & Community Spirit to Balreask Old
There was a fantastic atmosphere at Balreask Old on Sunday morning as Navan RFC hosted an exciting Under 8s minis blitz, welcoming young players from neighbouring clubs including North Meath, Boyne, Dundalk & Ratoath.
The event showcased everything that is great about minis rugby, with skill, teamwork and enjoyment on full display across a series of fun and energetic games. Despite their young age, all players showed great enthusiasm and sportsmanship, making for an entertaining morning of rugby for players, coaches and supporters alike.
Adding a special touch to the occasion, all participants proudly wore mismatched socks in support of World Down Syndrome Awareness Day, helping to raise awareness in a simple but meaningful way. The colourful display around the pitches reflected the inclusive spirit of the day and highlighted the strong sense of community within the club.
Events like these continue to play a vital role in developing the next generation of players, while also reinforcing the core values of rugby; respect, inclusivity and enjoyment.
