05 Mar Navan Connections Shine as Trinity Claim Big Win
It was fantastic to see Catherine Brady-Walsh, Chair of the Navan RFC Centenary Book Committee, and her husband Ciaran Walsh proudly supporting their three sons David, Michael and Mark Walsh, who were all involved with Dublin University Football Club in a huge victory over Instonians RFC last weekend.
Trinity secured an impressive 29–12 win at Shaw’s Bridge in Belfast in a crucial Energia All-Ireland League Division 1B promotion battle. The result was even more remarkable considering the Belfast side had not lost a home match since returning to the All-Ireland League, a remarkable run of 33 games unbeaten.
Adding to the occasion, David Walsh, who is Captain of Trinity this season, spoke this week to the Irish Rugby Football Union website about the team’s promotion push.
