06 Apr Navan Hosts Leinster U13 Semi-Final as Dinneen Bows Out
Navan RFC was proud to serve as the neutral venue for the semi-final of the Leinster Youth Boys Under 13 McGowan Cup on Saturday, as Boyne and Mullingar faced off at Balreask Old.
The club’s involvement extended beyond hosting duties, with all three match officials coming from within Navan RFC. The game was refereed by Maris Newsome, assisted on the touchlines by Sean Dinneen and Aoife White, representing both the longest-serving and one of the newest match officials affiliated with the club.
The occasion also marked a special milestone for Dinneen, as it was his final game before retiring from refereeing. Over many years, he has made a significant contribution to the club and to rugby in the region.
