20 Feb Navan RFC Duo Named for Celtic Challenge Round 8
Navan RFC’s Rosie Searle and Alex Connor both saw action off the bench for their respective sides in Round 8 of the Celtic Challenge on Saturday afternoon.
Searle continued her consistent involvement in the Clovers match-day squad as they defeated Edinburgh Rugby 31-7 at Dexcom Stadium,Galway.
Meanwhile, Connor was among the replacements for the Wolfhounds, who suffered their second ever defeat in the tournament to Brython Thunder, 14-0 at Parc y Scarlets in Llanelli.
There was further Navan RFC representation within the Wolfhounds squad, as former youth players Kate Jordan (Second Row), Jade Gaffney (Scrum-half) and Cara Martin (Centre) were all named in the starting XV for the trip to Wales, a fantastic reflection of the club’s player pathway and development structures.!
It was a positive weekend for Navan RFC with strong representation across both Irish sides in the competition. Everyone at the club wishes Rosie and Alex along with all players involved the very best of luck for the remainder of the tournament.
