13 Mar Navan RFC Pathway on Show Ahead of Final AIL Block
Next week the Navan RFC Men’s 1st XV begin the final block of games in this season’s Energia All-Ireland League Division 2B campaign, when they welcome Malone RFC to Balreask Old in Round 16 on Saturday 21st March.
During the previous block of fixtures, the club’s long-established player development pathway was once again clearly visible, particularly in the home victory over Buccaneers RFC last month.
A number of players involved in that game were part of the same group that progressed through Navan RFC together from Minis rugby, dating back to their Under 13 Boys team in 2001. At that time, the coaching and mentoring group included several of the players’ fathers, highlighting the strong family and community links that remain central to the club.
The photo taken after the Buccaneers victory perfectly captures that journey, bringing together players, coaches and mentors who have all been part of the pathway through the years.
