Navan U13 Boys Secure High-Scoring Win Under Lights

Navan RFC Under 13 Boys produced an exciting attacking display to secure a 45–31 home victory over North Meath RFC last Friday evening at Balreask Old.

Captain Ross Welsh led the team out onto Pitch 1 under the lights, with a great sense of occasion matched by the energy and enthusiasm shown by the squad from the opening whistle.

Navan’s attacking play proved the difference, with Cian Murphy crossing for a try and Casey Reynolds delivering a standout performance with an impressive four tries. Harry Russell added the finishing touches with a strong kicking display, converting the majority of scores.

The impact from the bench was equally important, with the “bomb squad” making their presence felt in the second half. Shay added two further tries to help push Navan clear and seal a well-earned victory.

It was a fantastic team performance, full of attacking intent and determination, as the squad continues to build momentum heading into the latter stages of the season.

Attention now quickly turns to a busy and exciting period ahead. The squad face Naas RFC away next Thursday in the Leinster Plate Semi-Final, while also preparing for a North-East Semi-Final clash with Boyne RFC this weekend.

Training dates to be advised.

A special mention also to the club’s Under 12s, who travel to La Rochelle this week, best of luck to all involved.
