Navan Youth Players in Representative Action

Navan RFC enjoyed a strong showing in representative rugby this week, with several youth players proudly wearing area & provincial colours.

There was excellent Navan representation on the Leinster North-East Under-17 Girls team, who faced Virginia RFC on Monday night under lights at Balreask Old. In a highly competitive and entertaining contest, the Leinster North-East side showed great character to come from behind and secure a narrow 31–29 victory.

Navan were particularly well represented in the squad, with Tati Garcia, Robyn Wall, Cara Condra, Amelia Gillespie, Helena Zucchini, Tessa Flynn, Abby Kerins, Maggie Kerins, Amelia Lynch, Grace McWeeny and Emma O’Rourke all featuring. Congratulations to the entire Leinster North-East panel, and especially to our Navan players, who delivered strong performances throughout.

Also on Monday night, congratulations to Lorcan and Cillian from our Under-18 Boys, who represented Leinster U18s in a friendly fixture against the Terenure College Senior Cup team. Although Leinster were narrowly defeated on the final play of the match, both players performed very well and represented Navan with distinction.

Well done to all involved!

Great to see Navan talent progressing on the representative stage!
