11 Apr U14 Girls Cruise Into League Final With Convincing Win
Leinster Under 14 Girls Division 2 – Round 7
Navan 30 Rhinos 5
Saturday 11th April | Balreask Old
Navan RFC Under 14 Girls secured their place in the final of Leinster U14 Girls Division 2 with an impressive 30–5 victory over the Rhinos at Balreask Old on Saturday.
Navan made a flying start, with Finley Clarke powering over in the corner for her first try for the club, finishing a determined run through heavy traffic. The hosts quickly built on that momentum, with Leah McLoughlin adding a second try following a strong break from midfield.
The Rhinos responded with a well-taken breakaway try to reduce the deficit to 10–5, but Navan remained firmly in control for the remainder of the contest.
Further tries from Aoibheann Fletcher and a brace from Róisín Regan extended Navan’s lead, capping off a dominant attacking display.
A special mention goes to Eve Graham, who made a welcome return after a serious pre-season injury. Coming off the bench, she contributed five valuable points with a penalty and a conversion, marking an excellent comeback performance.
This was a confident and composed display from Navan, who now look ahead to the league final against Gorey, scheduled for Sunday 26th April in Naas.
