Navan RFC Under 14 Girls maintained their perfect start to the phase 2 season with a hard-fought 17–12 victory over Seapoint in a top-of-the-table clash at Balreask Old on Saturday afternoon.
Played on Pitch Two, this was a tightly contested encounter between two evenly matched sides, with Navan holding a 17–0 advantage at half-time after an excellent opening period that showcased strong teamwork, organisation and composure.
Seapoint mounted a determined comeback in the second half, applying sustained pressure and scoring twice to bring the contest right down to the wire. However, Navan showed great character and resilience, digging deep defensively to hold on for a deserved win by a single try.
The result keeps Navan top of the Division 2 table on maximum points at the halfway stage of the league campaign, a fantastic achievement for the squad.
