30 Dec U17 Boys Quartet Impress at Leinster Pathway Trials
Four players from Navan RFC’s Under-17 Boys squad — Sam Murray, Evan Lawless, Conor Martin, and Ishan Dharmasena — were given an excellent opportunity to showcase their talents at the Leinster Rugby Under-17 pathway training and trials camp, held over two days at Ashbourne RFC.
The camp represents a significant step in the Leinster player pathway, with performances contributing to selection for the Leinster Rugby Boys Club/Youths Under-18 Panel, which will take part in the summer programme and the Under-18 Boys Interprovincial Championship later next year.
Navan RFC Under-17 Head Coach Riaan Van Der Vyver was present to observe the players in action, offering support as the quartet tested themselves against the best emerging talent from across the province.
This achievement reflects the continued strength of Navan RFC’s youth development programme and the growing representation of players from the Leinster North-East Area at provincial level.
