Navan RFC Under 18 Girls secured a hard-fought 24–19 victory over Seamine (a combined Seapoint & Coolmine team) in the second round of the Leinster Girls U18 Plate at Balreask Old on Saturday.
In a closely contested encounter, Navan showed resilience and attacking flair to hold off a determined Seamine side and progress to the next stage of the competition.
One of the standout moments of the match came from Derinn McDonnell, who produced a brilliant length-of-the-field try, sprinting the full distance of the pitch to score a memorable effort.
Araceli “Tati” Ayesa Garcia was also instrumental in the victory, crossing the line twice to give Navan crucial scores during the contest. Maggie Kerin added a conversion to round out the Navan scoring.
The result sees Navan continue their journey in the Leinster Girls Under 18 Plate, with the squad showing strong determination and teamwork throughout the match.
