Navan RFC U14 Girls delivered a superb performance to defeat Gorey 32–22 in the Leinster Division 2 Final at Naas RFC, capping off an outstanding season in style.
Navan started brightly, controlling possession early before Aoibheann Fletcher opened the scoring. Cara Reynolds quickly followed with a powerful finish, while Fiadh Stafford added a third before halftime to give Navan a 15–8 lead.
The second half saw Navan raise the tempo again. A standout moment came from Róisín Regan, who fielded a deep kick and ran the length of the pitch to score under the posts. Captain Leah McLoughlin was hugely influential, making a brilliant break to set up Rory Mai Daly, while Fletcher added her second try to extend the lead.
The forwards laid the platform throughout, with strong carries and tireless work from Alice Larkin, Holly Owens and Michaela Spillane proving crucial.
Gorey battled to the end with two late tries, but Navan’s quality and teamwork ensured a deserved victory.
An incredible achievement for this squad, finishing their campaign as unbeaten league champions, well done to all players and coaches.
