Saturday 17th January | Balreask Old

Navan RFC Under 14 Girls delivered an outstanding all-round performance on Saturday afternoon, recording an impressive 29–0 victory over a strong and physical Gorey side at Balreask Old.

Navan set the tone early, taking the lead through a superb break down the right wing by Cadhla Wall, who finished confidently to score her first try for the club. The home side continued to build momentum, combining disciplined defence with sharp attacking play to stretch the Gorey defence.

Further first-half tries from Cara Reynolds and Leah McLoughlin, along with a first Navan try for Ella Vasselin, saw Navan go into the interval with a commanding 22–0 advantage.

Gorey came out with renewed intensity in the second half and applied sustained pressure, but they were met by a resolute and well-organised Navan defensive effort. Tackling was strong across the pitch and defensive lines remained disciplined, denying Gorey any route back into the contest.

Navan sealed the victory late on when Róisín Regan crossed the line for the final try of the game, capping off an excellent team performance and a deserved clean-sheet win.

This was a highly encouraging display from the squad, showcasing both attacking flair and defensive resilience, and reflects the continued progress of the U14 girls as they move through their Leinster Division 2 campaign.
