Navan RFC Under 16 Girls delivered an excellent all-round performance to secure a 43–26 victory over AB (Ashbourne-Balbriggan) in their Leinster Plate Quarter-Final on Saturday.
Played in challenging windy conditions, both sides produced an entertaining and high-quality display of attacking rugby, but it was Navan who showed greater consistency and clinical finishing to pull clear.
A strong team effort in both attack and defence saw tries from Abigail Kerin, Clarissa Vlad, Jessica Doran, Helena Zucchini, and Tessa Flynn, with Zucchini also adding four conversions in an impressive individual display.
There was also a special moment for Arya Salcedo, who made her debut for Navan, marking a memorable day for the squad.
This result sees Navan progress to the semi-final of the competition, where they will face Arklow, with fixture details to be confirmed.
