Navan RFC Women’s 1st XV signed off their Leinster Women’s League Division 1 campaign in emphatic fashion on Sunday with a dominant 80–5 victory away to Naas.
It was a superb attacking display from Navan, who ran in twelve tries and controlled proceedings from start to finish to conclude an outstanding first season in Division 1.
Navan’s attacking performance was relentless throughout the afternoon, with several players crossing multiple times.
Emily Jo White delivered a standout performance with a hat-trick of tries, earning her Player of the Match honours. Molly Fitzgerald also touched down three times, while Shona White added two tries to the tally.
Further scores came from Sophia Murdock (2), Katie Kearney, and captain Anna Bolger, who also produced a flawless display from the tee by converting 10 tries.
The victory capped a remarkable campaign for Navan in their first season competing in Leinster Women’s League Division 1, finishing second in the table behind champions MU Barnhall.
That runners-up finish also secures qualification for next season’s All-Ireland Junior Cup, a competition featuring the top two teams from each provincial league.
The achievement marks a significant milestone for the Navan women’s programme and reflects the continued growth and strength within the squad.
