Navan RFC Women’s 1st XV produced another dominant Division 1 performance on Sunday afternoon, running in nine unanswered tries to secure a comprehensive 51–0 victory away to Wicklow in cold and wet conditions at Ashtown Lane.

Navan set the tone early, combining physical forward play with sharp execution in the backs to build a 22–0 half-time lead, and they continued to control proceedings throughout the second half with pace, accuracy, and intensity.

The visitors’ attacking threat was spread across the squad, with Emily Jo White and Michelle Claffey each crossing twice. Further tries came from Nicola Bolger, Shona White, Lauren Kelly, Ava Kiechler, and Aoife Ryan, highlighting Navan’s depth and clinical edge. Anna Bolger, captaining the side, added three conversions to round off an impressive team performance.

At scrum-half, Alex Connor delivered a commanding display, controlling tempo, linking play superbly, and showing excellent game management to earn the Player of the Match award, sponsored by The Central.

Defensively, Navan were equally impressive, denying Wicklow any score and maintaining focus right through to the final whistle. The result keeps Navan firmly in the title hunt, sitting second in the Division 1 table, just three points behind league leaders MU Barnhall.
