Navan RFC Women’s 1st XV continued their impressive run in Leinster Women’s League Division 1 with a commanding 52–0 victory over Tullamore at Balreask Old on Sunday afternoon.

While the final scoreline suggests a one-sided contest, Tullamore provided determined and physical opposition, particularly in the opening half. Navan were forced to work hard for their scores, overcoming some early passing inaccuracies and a well-organised visiting defence. The breakthrough came largely through strong, direct carries close to the line, with Shona White proving particularly effective as Navan built a 19–0 advantage by the interval.

After the break, Navan emerged with renewed focus and intensity. Improved accuracy and patience in possession allowed the home side to stretch the game, creating space across the pitch and converting pressure into points. Crucially, Navan also maintained a disciplined defensive effort, denying Tullamore any route back into the contest.

The tries were shared across the squad, highlighting the depth and balance of this Navan side, while Anna Bolger was composed and reliable from the tee, adding six conversions to cap a dominant team performance.

The result keeps Navan firmly at the top end of the Division 1 table as they now head into a short break before returning to action at home against Athy on Sunday 8th February.
