Navan RFC Women’s 2nd XV finished their Leinster Women’s League Division 3 campaign on a high with a well-earned 32–15 victory away to Longford on Sunday.
Navan produced a strong attacking performance while also showing resilience in defence to secure the win against the Midlands side.
Navan’s attack proved decisive, with Louise Coyle delivering an outstanding display by scoring two tries.
Further tries from Anna McGarry and Molly Egan ensured Navan maintained control of the contest. McGarry also added a penalty and two conversions, making a major impact both as a scorer and from the tee.
The visitors combined solid forward work with effective use of the backline to keep Longford under pressure throughout the game.
The victory concludes the league campaign for Navan Women’s 2nd XV, who finished fourth in Leinster Women’s League Division 3 this season.
It represents a solid campaign for the squad, with strong performances throughout the year helping to establish the team as competitive contenders within the division.
