MU Barnhall 32 Navan 14

Sunday 12th April | MU Barnhall RFC

Navan RFC Women’s 2nd XV exited the Leinster Paul Cusack Women’s Cup at the second-round stage following a 32–14 defeat away to MU Barnhall RFC on Sunday.

In a competitive encounter, the home side proved clinical in attack, outscoring Navan by six tries to two to secure progression in the competition.

Navan battled throughout and showed resilience in patches, but Barnhall’s ability to convert opportunities ultimately proved decisive.

Despite the result, there were positives for Navan, with Róisín Watters delivering a standout performance to earn Player of the Match, sponsored by “The Central”.

Attention now turns to the Leinster Paul Cusack Women’s Plate, where Navan has an immediate opportunity to respond. They will host Clondalkin RFC in a home semi-final at Balreask Old, with a 1pm kick-off.

With silverware still within reach, Navan will look to regroup and carry momentum into the Plate competition.
